Pokedex Entry

Felis regalia is a medium-sized, solitary felid renowned for its muscular elegance, acute sensory capabilities, and unpredictable temperament. This species is often observed gliding silently across terrain thanks to well-developed digital flexors and a lightweight skeletal frame, making it a highly efficient ambush predator. Persian uses its six long, vibrissae-like whiskers to detect subtle changes in air currents, granting it near-perfect spatial awareness even in low-light conditions. These tactile organs are also critical for hunting and territorial navigation. The species exhibits a gem-like keratinous growth on its forehead, believed to function in intraspecies display and thermoregulation. Persian’s temperament is highly volatile—it may lash out violently without provocation, especially when challenged or stared at directly. Despite its elegance, this animal is not easily domesticated, and its behavioral patterns are often compared to those of wildcats such as the caracal or serval. It favors subtropical environments with dense vegetation and is often spotted in proximity to urban centers, where its refined appearance and aloof nature have made it a status symbol among the elite.

Pokedex Entry

Felis regalia insulavis is an insular variant of the mainland persian, exhibiting several phenotypic divergences shaped by long-term domestication and regional prestige. Its dense, velvety coat contains a unique layering of ultra-fine hairs that provide both insulation and a luxurious tactile quality, leading to its association with wealth and nobility in its endemic region. Alolan persian’s most defining trait is its notably rounded facial structure, a trait selectively reinforced by human preference for its symbolic representation of prosperity. Despite its soft and outwardly delicate features, this subspecies is highly cunning and aggressively territorial. It relies on feints, blindsiding, and other deceptive tactics during conflict—behaviors typically associated with opportunistic predators. Known to engage in excessive predation and cruelty, it often toys with weakened prey, a trait rarely seen in most felids. Its elevated status in island culture has led to overprotection and overbreeding, resulting in a bold but finicky animal with little tolerance for disorder or challenge to its dominance.
