The Chiroptera ultrasonica, commonly known as Zubat, is a small, cave-dwelling mammal characterized by its lack of functional eyes and reliance on echolocation for navigation. This species thrives in dark environments, such as caves and abandoned structures, where it forms large colonies to enhance thermoregulation and social interaction. Zubat emits ultrasonic waves from its mouth to create a detailed acoustic map of its surroundings, allowing for agile flight in tight spaces and avoidance of obstacles. Due to its thin skin, prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause severe burns, prompting the species to roost in the safety of darkness during the day. Zubat primarily feeds on small insects, which it captures mid-flight using its exceptional agility and echolocation skills. During colder months, individuals gather in clusters, sharing body heat to maintain warmth and survive harsh conditions.
